Wow ... 100 Years!

Not many companies make it to 100 years so our yearlong celebration is something we should all cherish! Taylor and our Leadership Team did a great job last Friday talking about 5 things that many 100 year companies have in common. They are:

1. Strong Corporate Mission and Culture
2. Unique Core Strengths and Change Management
3. Close Relationships with Business Partners
4. Long Term Employee Relationships
5. Active Members of the Local Community

Our company exudes all five of these qualities and it will be an important part of our continued success.

I want to add one other item to this list. The most valuable asset Williams Company has is our good name and our reputation. That's it! Many of you have heard me say that it's really all we have. All of us should ask ourselves daily as we make decisions for the company "Is this enhancing our good name and reputation?"

When we leave this earth we don't get to take anything with us. All the stuff we have accumulated over the course of our life will be left behind. The only thing you leave with is your name, your honor and your reputation. As we celebrate 100 years, we are fortunate that the Williams Company name has stood the test of time!
