Bob's Thought for the Week

Over the past 20 years there have been certain days as one of the leaders of our company that I have really cherished. These particular days never have anything do with money, or awards, or personal gain. The days that I have most cherished are the ones that a valued client comes up

to me, shakes my hand, looks me in the eye, and says "Your team did an outstanding job! Thank you!"

Last Thursday was one of those days. I attended an early morning tour of the Downtown

Parramore K8, or Academic Center of Excellence, ACE for short. The tour was led by Jeff Hart, Head of Facilities at Orange County Public Schools. Jeff s boss John Morris was there too, along with the OCPS Cove Committee (Construction Oversight) and many other OCPS staff. There was probably 40 folks total for the tour.

As we walked the school, the smiles, the accolades and the excitement were prevalent amongst the entire group! The Rosen Day Care Center, the center courtyard, the 2 level Media Center, the cafeteria, the full medical and dental clinic, the Boys & Girls Club and the gym all received rave reviews! We will be arranging a company tour for you soon. I can't wait for everyone to see it! More on that in the near future.

So why is this simple thank you from OCPS so important to me? Because we have one of our most important clients, who gave us their most important and high profile project ever, tell us that they trust us to deliver on our promise.

And deliver we did! This entire team spent the last 15 months totally dedicated to get this project finished on time! It was a daunting task filled with innumerable obstacles. As you can imagine there were lots of successes along the journey, and there were also a few melt downs and setbacks.

At the core of our success on this project, and really all of our projects, is that incredible level of service from our people, our TEAM, your fellow co-owners... that absolutely separates us from our competition! Like most of our clients, OCPS recognizes the special chemistry that the folks here at Williams Company have as a group! We are a tightly knit bunch, headed in the same

direction... that is totally dedicated to delivering that Incredible Service!

There are too many individuals to thank in this note. You know who you are. You're the ones who showed up early and worked late. You worked Saturdays and Sundays. You worked in the

rain and the blistering heat. You planned, you reviewed and you executed. You negotiated,

cajoled, pried, wiggled, squirmed, begged, and pleaded with subcontractors and utility companies. You remained committed. You persevered. You gave it your all.

You delivered!
