I had a chance to reread some of my favorite books over the holidays. One of my favorites is "5-Where Will You be Five Years from Today?" About a third of the way into the book there is a chart that is titled LIFE and here are the categories that are listed:
Family Career
Health Finance
Education Recreational
Charity Adventure
Travel Romance
Relationships Spiritual
The book instructs you "On a scale of 1 to 7, where 1 is not at all satisfied, and 7 is completely satisfied" rate yourself on how you are doing.
So I reassessed where I am in these areas and have set some goals for 2014. I would encourage you to take some quiet time and do the same...set some goals in areas that you would like to improve in your life. Here is the most important thing you could do when you set these goals...
WRITE THEM DOWN!
And then review them during the year to see how you are doing. I can assure you that if you do this consistently, and make this a priority; you will accomplish your goals! It has been my experience that people with goals (that are written down and reviewed) are some of the most successful and happy people I know!
