Most folks know the story of Christmas, with the birth of Jesus in a manger in Bethlehem. For Christians it is a sacred time of year and a time to reflect on the true meaning of life itself. The birth of Jesus is documented in the Gospels of the New Testament and most of you have heard parts of the story. One verse that is often glazed over but has four very powerful words is found in Luke 2.10. As the shepherds watched over their flocks, an angel appeared and said:
"Do not be afraid"
In this busy Christmas season each of us has anxieties about something. It could be our finances, a relationship with a spouse, difficulties with a child, a health issue or an addiction. Whatever your burdens may be, I would offer up the words of an angel.
May the peace and joy of the Christmas season be with you and your family!
Merry Christmas!
Bob
